M.A.M. B-School, in association with its Career Development & Placement Cell, organized a session on “Unlock Your Dream Career: The Power of Focus” on November 13, 2024. The program aimed to guide students in making informed career choices aligned with industry requirements.
Resource person Dr. Selvakumar Periyasamy, Dean–Training & Placement, CARE Group of Institutions, shared insights on aligning strengths with aspirations, staying focused, and working consistently toward goals. He illustrated his points with the success story of Quick Heal, highlighting the value of innovation and determination.
Dr. Selvakumar also provided practical guidance on resume building, interview preparation, and meeting industry expectations such as strong communication, body language, analytical skills, and teamwork. He outlined six key tips, including understanding the job description, matching skills to requirements, researching organizations, knowing one’s resume thoroughly, practicing interview answers, and conducting salary research.
