About the Cell

The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) at M.A.M. B-School has been established to support and guide students from marginalized sections, including Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Minority Communities, Persons with Disabilities, and other disadvantaged groups. The Cell aims to create a fair, unbiased, and inclusive academic environment where all students have equal access to opportunities and resources.

Recognizing that higher education plays a vital role in promoting social and economic equality, M.A.M. B-School actively works to address issues related to access and equity while maintaining high educational standards. The institution implements various policies and initiatives of the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu, promoting schemes and programs for disadvantaged groups with the goal of reducing social disparities.

The primary objective of the Equal Opportunity Cell is to empower students from marginalized communities and facilitate their full participation in the academic, intellectual, social, and cultural life of the college on an equal footing.

Objectives

• Create an environment of equal opportunity by understanding and addressing the needs and concerns of students.
• Ensure effective implementation of policies and programs designed for disadvantaged groups.
• Provide academic, financial, social, and personal guidance and counselling to promote diversity and inclusion.
• Promote a fair environment by organizing awareness activities on equality and social justice.
• Engage students in outreach activities that sensitize them to challenges faced by underprivileged communities.
• Encourage enrollment in career-oriented programs that empower students with marketable skills.
