He discussed that the Public Sector is the most vital sector of any Government. It manages and controls national and critical services such as Police, Emergency Services, Urban Planning, Security, Taxation and also Social Welfare etc. He informed that these areas underpin the functioning of a nation, and unless they are managed correctly, can lead to vital resources falling into disregard. He covered about the civil service as a profession, the various forms of civil services such as Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Forest Service (IFS), Indian Information Service (IIS), Indian Postal Service (IPS), Indian Railway Service (IRS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS) with the students. He encapsulated the guidelines to attend the exams which comprises as Prelims, Mains Written and Mains Interview, eligibility criteria for various categories and how to choose the subjects to ace the main examinations. He also suggested that tremendous openings that are in public sectors and constant preparation with dedication that paves to success in everyone’s career. The session was very informative and eye opener for all the MBA students and overwhelming response by and large.
